My father has quite the
nifty model railroad setup in his basement.
In his collection of trains are some rare locomotives.
I wanted to build a cabinet where he could store and display
his locomotives and/or cars. To spiff it up a bit I, once again,
turned to my stockpile of tiger maple. I built it out of solid maple,
veneered it in the tiger maple and used walnut splines
in the miter joints on the doors and case. Add some glass
to the doors and some track to the shelves and it's ready for display.
